A Thousand Million Questions

If you could be best friends with a celebrity, who would it be?
I read that Bob Dylan said that all the friends that he ever had are gone now, so if he wanted me to hang out with him, that would be pretty cool.  He is a genius, and I am sure that it would never be boring being his friend.

What is, or should be, the main purpose of law?
The law should be for the benefit of the citizens, so it should not be taking away rights from anyone, unless those rights are deemed to be harmful.  If driving your car while not wearing a seatbelt, is hazardous to others, then a law should be made to prevent you from doing this.  If you are the only one being harmed by this, then driving without wearing a seatbelt, should not be a law, but since insurance companies have influence on society, this became a law.  I don’t see the purpose behind many of our laws, as clearly guns are very harmful, but lawmakers don’t seem interested in doing anything about this issue.  The Evangelical Christians don’t want to allow women to have control over their own bodies, so they are trying to force their will on others by banning abortions, and if we let them have their way, there will be no turning back.

Do you care about reviews?
Not particularly, as I don’t think that my work has ever been reviewed.  What I don’t like about reviews is all the data that is now being collected, because people keep asking my opinions about how I liked their service.  If I buy something online and I pay for it, or if I go to the dentist or the eye doctor, that should be the end of it.  I don’t want to be pestered with these short surveys that people tell me will only take a minute of my time.  If I bought a product from you a year ago and I didn’t complain about it, then just consider me to be a satisfied customer and stop asking me to review your services or products.

Is the ‘mind’ different to the ‘brain’? If so, in what ways?
I view the brain as being a physical thing, whereas the mind is a mental thing.  These two words are often used interchangeably, but your brain is composed of nerve cells and blood vessels, but your mind is just storage space for your thoughts and dreams.  You can see and touch a person’s brain, and although you may be able to get inside of someone’s mind, you can’t touch something that is energy, as it will just flow to another place.

Gratitude Section.
Overall, how sunny is your nature?  (Optimistic)?
I am like a breath of fresh air, and I expect right to triumph over evil on a daily basis.  I consider myself to be optimistic and since we got rid of Trump once, I think that we should be able to do it again.

  2. Thanks Jim for Sharing Your World! Interesting choice of celebrity ‘buddy’…I heard on the radio that he turned 81 today, My goodness! He still has far more energy than I ever expect to see! You ARE a breath of fresh air. Daring to go where no blogger has gone before, you’re also brave! Good on ya! Great answers to all the questions! Have a wonderful week!

    1. Yes, happy birthday to Bob. I may have gone off topic with your question about the reviews, as I was the only one to answer it that way. I was surprised that nobody caught my Moody Blues reference about, “Why do we never get an answer. When we’re knocking at the door? · With a thousand million questions · About hate and death and war.”
