Madonna made it on to the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time with ‘Borderline’ in 1984. She became the greatest Billboard Hot 100 solo artist of all time, the Top Billboard Hot 100 artist of the 1980s and the best-selling female rock artist of the 20th century. Madonna had the most number-ones on all Billboard charts combined accumulating a total of 161 #1 singles. She ruled the Hot Dance Club Songs chart reaching 50 #1 hits. She has 38 top-ten singles on the Billboard Hot 100, tied with Rapper Drake for the most.
Madonna acted in at least 41 films including twenty-seven feature films ten short films, and three theatrical plays. She was in ten television episodes, and she appeared in sixteen commercials. Some of her movies are Desperately Seeking Susan (1985), A League of Their Own (1992), Body of Evidence (1993), Swept Away (2002), Arthur and the Invisibles (2006), and Madame X (2021). She also starred opposite her then-husband actor Sean Penn in the adventure drama Shanghai Surprise (1986), which was panned by critics and earned Madonna her first Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actress.

Mindlovemisery's Menagerie

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!  Due to Melanie having cataract surgery, she asked if I would help out with the Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie music posts for this month, so I am back, just like Arnold Schwarzenegger’s famous line from the 1984 science fiction film The Terminator.   The format has changed drastically since I was the host of this challenge and I guess it is wide open for me to do whatever I want, so today and since I mentioned the Cyberdyne Systems Model T-800 and touched on a line by Michael Corleone, our theme will be music from blockbuster films.  I am asking you to come up with any song from any movie that was highly popular and financially successful, and then try to write something interesting about it.

    1. You know, I went to college with a woman who said much the same thing. I never did that, I was a young child when my mother took me to see the original one, but I get why it would be mind blowing to do!
