Brian Laundrie’s parents probably lied about their son’s whereabouts when they claimed that he went to the Carlton Reserve, so they could buy him more time to escape. If Brian’s parents were billed for the cost of this wild goose chase, that would prevent them from being able to send money to their most likely guilty son.

I am sure a lot of money was spent on that search of the swamp and if it was only done so he could evade the police, them the parents should be responsible for paying for this.
