I Write for Me

Truth means little to nothing to me and I don’t give a rat’s ass about polite society, so I write for my own enjoyment.  Etiquette and manners have no place in my writing, as I am here to express my opinions and I am willing to listen to the opinions of others.  Writers write and Monday is a serious writing day for me.  I am not a fan of Stephen King, even though he is a very successful writer, as I don’t enjoy the horror genre.  I have watched several of his movies which I though were good, but some of his stuff, I will never watch.  I will never be popular like he is, but I enjoy my own writing more than I enjoy his.

I started out as a technical writer and I wrote many things that nobody would ever want to read, such as standard operating procedures of how to correctly clean a toilet bowl and many more technical things that most people would never understand.  Writing requires discipline and hard work, and it is only worth pursuing if you can get some satisfaction out of it in return.  Not everyone can be a writer, because they are not willing to put in the work.  My first post today took me two and a half hours to write and it only contained 576 words, but every one of those words was well thought out.  It was fiction, but it came off reading like it could have been based on some truth, but there was nothing contained in it that would conform to polite society.  Everyone’s days are numbered, so all I strive for is happiness.
