Over Easy Questions

What’s one question you wish more people asked you?
Did you really shake hands with Jerry Garcia?

Do you like eggs?  What’s your favorite way to have them served? (Optional obviously, I know there are egg dislikers in the crowd).
I like eggs, scrambled, fried, hardboiled, all types of eggs.  I usually save eggs for a weekend breakfast and that makes them seem more special.  Did you know that Alfred Hitchcock was frightened of eggs?  The oozy yellow yolks, specifically, freaked him out.

Thoughts on scary movies?  (not horror necessarily, but suspense or action/thrillers)
Yes, I like suspense or action/thrillers, but I am not into gory, or horror, or vampires, unless there are a lot of women walking around in sexy lingerie.

Do you believe in Karma?
I would like to believe in Karma, but if Karma existed then Trump would be in prison, so even though it is a nice concept, it doesn’t exist in the real world.

I am grateful for all of the bloggers who host writing challenges here on WordPress.

  1. Do you like eggs? What’s your favorite way to have them served? – I don’t eat a lot of eggs as they are high in cholesterol (in which I have). I couldn’t resist the sausage, bacon and omelette bap that was on the breakfast menu at my local cafe this morning.

  2. Thank you Jim for Sharing Your World! So DID you actually shake hands with Jerry Garcia? Was he a nice guy about the fans? He looked a bit like Santa Claus (to me), except for the whole “I smoke weed” part of course O_o I bet he & ol’ Willy, if they ever met, had a great party! 😉 And maybe Santa does smoke a little sumpin’ sumpin’ now and then. Takes the edge off I bet! 😉 Eggs are simply delicious, but I agree that Fandango can keep his breakfast all to himself. I’ll take the mushrooms though. As to the karma thing? Like most anything, karma takes her sweet time. We might not see the effects that Trump has directed against himself right now, but we will. I rest assured. At the very least the worst thing I bet he could imagine will happen. And that is that nobody gives two shits what he says, does or if he even exists. Ignoring that ugly orange bastard is the best ‘revenge’ the common person can visit on that pile of crap. In my opinion of course. Thanks again Jim and have a great week! I hope to be around for your prompts coming up too, because I really enjoy them!

    1. I was at a Jerry Garcia Band concert at Douglass University, which is part of Rutgers and it was a good show. After the show ended everyone was heading out and it was crowded making our way toward the exit, so one of my friends suggested we go out this other door where there were no people and we ended up back stage in this crowded hallway. I was so surprised to see Jerry smiling and as I went past him I knew that I had to say something. I reached out my hand and said, “Great show.” He shook my hand and I felt his little stubby finger in my palm and he said, “Far out’, which made me laugh.

      1. That is the only movie that truly is somewhat scary to me. I saw it when they re-released it in the theaters…it was even better.
