I tried Sushi once, never again. It is possible that I haven’t had good sushi or that I just haven’t found the right type, but I can’t see why others find this appealing, as it makes me want to barf.
I don’t like Coconut Water, because it doesn’t taste like water. It is supposed to be healthy, but I only want to eat or drink stuff that tastes good and this stuff is far from being a refreshing beverage. Maybe it is an acquired taste.
Who needs Keto friendly food? I am tired of people telling me what is good for me and what I should eat. There are too many so-called food experts out there, all with different opinions about what is good for you. Everyone has to die from something and as long as the food I eat tastes good, I am sticking with it and I wish this Keto diet would just go away.
I am not sure if I am supposed to say Cauliflower rice, or riced Cauliflower, but I am not having any of this. I like rice, but not when it is made out of Cauliflower and I don’t see the point of eating anything just because somebody says that it is good for you. Maybe I am the only person that doesn’t like this, but why ruin a good thing. It is time to stop lying, as Cauliflower is not rice and it never will be.
I don’t understand how Sriracha sauce ever became so popular and why are people raving about it. I don’t actually hate it, but it tastes like hot, oily ketchup, yuck who needs this stuff.

All of these would taste much better with onion Jim!………..I know, I know!

Agree with these, though I’ve never tried the hot sauce because I know I’d hate it. I loved sushi until it made me sick for a month… 🤮

They were giving out samples of sushi at the store and I had to spit it out.

Why would anyone want to eat raw fish when there are so many marvelous ways to cook it? Besides, sushi is full of fish parasites.

That is so gross, worms in the sushi.

Microscopic worms right? Oh yeah. Sushi is off my list unless I’m at this really high end Japanese place in Salt Lake City. They are Japanese, so they know how to prepare it. But still. UGH!

Thanks so much, Fred for ruining sushi for me. 😛 I love sushi, but I’ll probably never eat it again now. Where do you come up with that stuff? 😉

It is pretty well known in food science. The level of parasites in raw fish is pretty high. If it were a new food product being introduced, the FDA would never allow it.

Yay for the sciences. Bringing us facts we never needed to know. Scratch that. Never WANTED to know! 😉 Eh. It’s all good. And I don’t mind a little education with my fish…

I like sushi occasionally from a reputable Japanese sushi restaurant. I cannot tolerate Sriracha sauce. Too hot for me.

It is strange how things become popular.

I have not managed to acquire a taste for sushi either although my kids have tried their best

Your kids want you to eat sushi.

Yes, because they love it.

Why do they have to smother a lot of dishes with various dressings?

You would have to ask a chef.

Cauliflower ‘rice” is a vegan thing maybe, or those who are cutting out carbs or something. Rice, while I love it to death, is bad for diabetics (and I’m not saying you shouldn’t eat it mind you, eat what makes you happy). Because rice is little packages of carbohydrates just waiting to drive the blood sugar numbers up the charts. I still eat rice occasionally, but I’ve really had to cut back.

Oh, forgot to add – Great post! I haven’t tried any of the other food fads you listed, and now I probably won’t. I knew about that hot sauce stuff already and knew it would be too hot for me. The oily part I did not know and yuck. Thanks for the information on these foods Jim!

Thank you Melanie and I could list a lot more food that I won’t eat but Tanya was only looking for 5.

I am well aware of the effect that rice has on my blood sugar as it always spikes when I eat Chinese food.

None of your choices are particularly on my favourites list either.
However, it has been very hot here in London, so we have had vegetarian sushi a couple of times at lunch and it was very pleasant. Nice for a light lunch on a hot day.

I am a fussy eater and I will most likely never try sushi again.
