Jerry Garcia to Beyoncé

I was wondering if I could connect these two artists together for Paula’s Six Degrees round 2.  At first glance, I had nothing, but then I thought about Jerry Garcia singing a song called ‘Sugar Magnolia’ which made it into the soundtrack of the movie Runaway Bride.  Richard Gere watches Julia Roberts jumping up and down on a trampoline printed with the Grateful Dead Steal Your Face logo on it with this song playing in the background and then she jumps on a motorcycle.

Julia Roberts won the Best Actress award for her role in the 2001 film Erin Brockovich playing the part of an environmental activist and Jane Goodall the English primatologist and anthropologist was also an environmental activist who wanted to protect chimpanzees.  Tarzan and Jane had a chimp called Cheetah who lived most of his life at a Florida primate sanctuary, till he succumbed to kidney failure on Dec. 24 2011.  Preeclampsia is a pregnancy complication characterized by high blood pressure and signs of damage to another organ system, most often the liver and kidneys.  Beyoncé revealed that she experienced toxemia, also known as preeclampsia, while she was pregnant with her twins, and this left her swollen to the point where put her on bed rest for more than a month.  There you go, I just connected Jerry Garcia to Beyoncé in six degrees.

Written for Paula Light’s 6 Degrees Round 2 prompt.
