By opening a book, you afford yourself with the potential to gain knowledge. The lips of the wise spread knowledge, but the hearts of fools still believe in Trump, loving him like he is the second coming of God. No matter what he says, or does, Republicans are sticking with him, even when he defends Putin. Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said during Tuesday’s White House briefing that President Trump has been briefed on intelligence that found a Russian military unit offered and paid bounties to militants for killing United States soldiers in Afghanistan, but the thing is that he does not like to read reports, so if it does not have pictures, or a video to accompany it, he most likely ignores it. Records show that Trump was briefed on this and he failed to act, wtf.
Trump’s indifference to the printed word has been apparent for some time and White House staffers have said they can’t get Trump to read briefing papers unless they are one page or less, with lots of graphs and pictures, and with Trump’s name must be mentioned in every paragraph and for this reason the National Security Council members were instructed to keep policy papers to a single page and to include lots of graphics and maps. Trump needs the pictures so he can get in the zone to read anything that is printed. How would you feel if you lost a loved one in Afghanistan, because Trump was unwilling to read the security briefings? Trump said reports of Russia paying bounties to Taliban-linked fighters to kill U.S. troops and coalition forces in Afghanistan is a hoax.
On the other hand, Trump seems to be quite fond of reading newspaper and magazine articles about himself, or at least skimming them and looking at the pictures and headlines. McEnany said that the president does read and that he is the most informed person on planet. It was reported that President Trump ignored more than a dozen intelligence briefings in January and February that warned him of the coronavirus, which were in his Daily Brief. When Trump drops the ball on various issues, he comes up with his standby excuse of saying, “I didn’t read it”. What could be more important for a president than keeping the country safe from a pandemic, or threats from foreign governments? It seems like the only thing that is important to Trump is appealing to his base, so that he can get reelected. How can someone lead a country, when they knowingly allow people to die, because they are too lazy to read a report?
No one is able to read all the novels that were ever written and published and it can’t be easy being the president. He wanted the job, which is one that allows no respite for sickness or holidays, but he does get time off to play golf. Trump is very comfortable holding a Bible for a photo opportunity and he doesn’t have a problem gassing peaceful protestors so he can be in front of the cameras. Trump was shown holding the Bible backwards and seemingly upside down, as if he’d never held one before. He has said that nothing beats the Bible and it is even better than his own book, The Art of the Deal. Despite calling it his favorite book, he does admit that he does not know it all that well and he won’t say whether or not he likes the Old Testament better than the New Testament, however he does admit that he is fond of the saying, “An eye for an eye”. This is certainly not the page where the heart speaks words in the scriptures, but maybe his heart is gelid. Trump exhibits impulsive behavior unpredictably lashing out at employees before he fires them. There is a lot more that I could say about Trump, but my hope is that he won’t be around that much longer, so we can finally have a sane person in the White House.

I had nothing nice to say about him today, but that is because I have lost all respect for him.

I think that they fear him, more than like him.

If only people would wake up and smell his bullshit, instead of thinking that it is roses.

I don’t need to write any more posts about Trump. You’ve effectively said all that is needed to be said about him. Good job, Jim.

Thanks Fandango, but there is a lot more to say, as we can’t let up till he is voted out and sitting in jail.

In an episode of ” I Claudius ” Antonia says of Tiberius to Claudius that Tiberius would only read a book if you drew naked women around the edges of the page and then he’d only look at the pictures.
I don’t know why, but after reading your post I flashed on that scene.

The Roman emperors were probably worse than Trump, but not by much.
