It would be nice if everyone could get along with each other and this would be a good place to start.

I just thought about this yesterday for a number of reasons. One was a TV remodeling show. Three different people quoted a relative as having taught them this saying. It is good advice.

My cousin watches HGTV constantly and it is always on in my doctor’s office and when I go to the dentist. I agree with you Lauren that it is good advice and it would stop a lot of fighting.

I have to limit my HGTV addiction right now. While I enjoy all the shows immensely, currently every show seems to have a pro tRUMP commercial which makes my stomach churn.

There was a time that was not so much of a challenge, but today… it’s hard. I spend a lot of time silent!

Maintaining silence is always a good way to avoid trouble.

I heard this in school as a kind many times. Not so much at home. The lesson never sank into us students.
If we were to follow it today, the resulting silence in modern political debate would be deafening.

If everyone followed that rule…the world would be great.
