We Are Not in Kansas Anymore

Trump tweeted,” Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs on a great game, and a fantastic comeback, under immense pressure. You represented the Great State of Kansas and, in fact, the entire USA, so very well.”  I guess it is time to get that sharpie out again, because it seems like the Donald probably skipped Geography class in school, not knowing that Kansas City is in Missouri.

  1. Actually Jim, and you can certainly get out your Sharpie for this too – geography was never my best subject – there are two Kansas Cities – one in Missouri and one in Kansas. Um. O_o Now I don’t EVER watch football, it’s torture and stupid (to me)..so I have no idea which state the Chiefs call home. If it is Missouri, my apologies and I’m butting out. And you’re most likely right because that orange mess couldn’t find his ass with both hands. So there’s that…

  2. LOL. I was pretty good at geography in school, but not being from the USA means I couldn’t locate Kansas or Missouri on a map of the USA Until a few years back. I know they are bordering states and the Kansas City in Kansas is really a suburb of the Kansas City in Missouri. I want a USA tactile map someday, but the one I got from the library for the blind here in the Netherlands has all made-up state abbreviations, so I remember looking at MO and thinking “Huh? That isn’t where Missouri is, right?” Apparently I had some inkling of where it was and I was looking at Montana.

    1. The US has 8 States that begin with the letter M and the abbreviations are confusing to everyone. Maine is ME. Maryland is MD, Massachusetts is MA, Michigan is MI, Minnesota is MN, Mississippi is MS, Missouri is MO and Montana is MT.
