The majority of people prefer happy endings, so if it ends well, then all should be well. I wrote a post for Linda Hill’s October 14, 2017 Stream of Consciousness Saturday titled Colder Than a Well Digger’s Ass which has my second highest amount of Views being 7,620, but it only has 9 Likes and just 6 people made comments on it, so it is hard for me to determine if that post actually ended well or not. My most views on a post came from a post that I wrote on November 8, 2017 titled Sloopy Hang On and that got 9,273 Views, but only 10 Likes and just 4 people made comments on this. The bottom line or the underlying or ultimate outcome is that I don’t know any of these people who viewed my top posts and if they did not have the courtesy to hit the Like button or make a comment, then either they hate my writing, or they are trolls, or they didn’t even bother to read what I wrote, and such is life. Hey there is an old adage that Fandango can use.

I admit I didn’t read the article….sorry. But the picture is too funny

My post was only 210 words long, but I am glad that you got a laugh from the picture and that you took your time to make a comment.

I think they Google searched ‘ass’ and the song title and ended up there. But then again, I don’t get paid for thinking….

Wow, I don’t think I have ever come anywhere close to that many views on a single post. In fact, my post with the most views was from last August about Tygpress, which got only 680 views. So 7,620 or 9,273 views is impressive, Jim, even if you got only a few comments or likes.

My home page also gets a lot of Views, but apparently my writing is an acquired taste.

I think – or at least I tell myself – that a lot of people read without reacting. I’ve had more than a few people contact me directly or say in a conversation that something I wrote did this or that. And I’m shocked they even read it let alone say something so kind. So who knows?
That number of views is crazy and cool, I wonder what spiked it.

The thing that shocks me is when people LIKE my old posts that I wrote a while ago and I wonder how they stumbled upon them. I don’t really care about Views, because I have no way of knowing that it happened, or who it was that viewed one of my posts.

🙂 I’ve never heard that term before

A well is a confined space and the ground gets cold when you dig deep, so a well digger would be bumping his ass up against the cold ground with every shovel of dirt that he digs.
