This song was on Don Henley’s 1989 album The End Of The Innocence and it charted #5 on the U.S. Adult Contemporary, but it only reached #48 on the Billboard Hot 100.  Don Henley wrote the lyrics to this song, and the music was composed by his guitarist Danny Kortchmar and keyboard player Jai Winding.  Henley later performed this song with the Eagles on their 1994 live reunion album Hell Freezes OverThe End of the Innocence was the third solo studio album by Don Henley, the lead vocalist and drummer for the Eagles and it sold over 6 million copies in the US, peaking at #8 and became a Grammy winner.  Toto member David Paich plays acoustic piano and he wrote and plays the strings arrangement.  Pino Palladino is on bass guitar, Jeff Porcaro plays drums and Steve Madaio has a trumpet solo.  The vocal group Take 6…
