That’s Another Story

The swamp overflowed under his leadership, as he was only concerned with his wall.  His strategy was to deflect and attack anyone who did not agree with him.  The Saudi oil and the relationship that he wanted to maintain with Putin was his biggest weakness.  He does not seem to care about his own people and nobody knows about how him being so unbalanced will affect them.  The impeachment hearings seem like a waste of time, as it would be rare for the Republican led Senate to not try to keep him in office, even when they are presented with overwhelming evidence of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.  This process is necessary to protect the Constitution, which may be the best thing ever made for democracy.

I will try not to lose any sleep over these proceedings, but at the same time I just can’t wait for this to come to a climax.  Maybe I am a little kooky, or just eccentric, but I always think of the Democrats as the Good, the Republicans as the Bad and Trump as the Ugly.  He is just a bad guy, a dangerous person who is pretending to be harmless, like a wolf in sheep’s clothing.  Environmentalists have pointed out over and over again how dangerous global warming is, but he doesn’t see a shell of evidence in their findings and this is enough to make a sane person blush.  In addition, nearly half of the people who actually voted for Trump don’t really like him, they just voted against Hillary, because Russian interference told them to do that.   I will sing Joy To the World if he gets removed from office and I won’t be sending him any stocking stuffers, but that’s another story.

    1. The preliminary hearing has been going on for a while and the impeachment process has shifted to the Judiciary Committee, and if the committee passes articles of impeachment, they go to the full floor of the House and require a simple majority vote to pass. Then on to the Senate if it gets through the House, which it is expected to do.

  1. I’m with you Jim 🙂👍 the good the bad and the ugly! The constitution is an amazing document written by those who had experienced a form of tyranny where they had come from. In their wisdom they knew that it could happen again. I have to believe it will be upheld and we will get him out. I cant bear him a moment longer. If I have to wait until November 2020 then so be it but I’d prefer it to be sooner.

    1. I had nothing but a list of prompts when I started this post and them I came up with a title which I actually used in the ending. With nothing written, all the prompts had a chance of fitting in, but as my story took shape I was able to handle blush, wolf and shell very easily.

  2. I’m amazed at all the prompts you managed to fit it. I may be English, but you have my support over this. The man is affecting the rest of the world is a negative way; in his words, it’s bad, very bad!

We go to the polls tomorrow and my hope is that we get Boris Johnson out. He’s far too close to Trump and no one here likes that.

      1. I use a postal vote and sent off my vote last week for Kamran Hussain the Liberal Democrat’s candidate for this area. They may gain the seat but are unlikely to win the Election. I don’t like Jeremy Corbyn and neither do I want Boris Johnson to remain in Office! So fingers crossed that my choice wins the seat.

  3. The Constitution is, indeed, be the best thing ever made for democracy. Unfortunately, Trump, enabled by his GOP butt-lickers, has been systematically shredding the Constitution. And that is the worst thing for the American democracy.

    1. I don’t like either of them, so I did not choose between them. We don’t have to choose them, there are others (ignoring the dreadful Brexit Party). I chose the LibDems, they won’t win the Election, but if they gain a few seats they will at least have a bigger voice in Parliament.
