I was aghast having nothing for the string of letters “ght”, as all I could think of was ghost, but that word does not contain the string of letters in the proper order.  Then a light turned on and I knew that I didn’t have to ad-lib, play it by ear, improvise something, down-rite fake it by making stuff up on-the-spot in the spur-of-the-moment, just plain wing it, or admit defeat.  From light, I got blight, fight, knight, might, night, right and sight.  I am sure that somebody will Google this string and come up with many more than I have, but that is not what Stream of Consciousness writing is about.  This writing is meant to be extemporaneous, speaking off the top of your head, and I have come to enjoy it.

Written for Linda G. Hill’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday where the prompt is to find words that use the string of consonants “ght”.

    1. I learned about Jimmy Cliff when the Jerry Garcia Band started playing The Harder They Come and I have always liked him. Happy and positive is a great description for I Can See Clearly Now.
