On Monday the Russian people expressed their anger about an explosion that took place on a small nuclear reactor at a military test site last week which went unacknowledged for days by their government. The mysterious accident was cloaked in secrecy and the initial report said the blast killed two people and injured six, but later it was disclosed that the explosion killed five of its workers and injured three others. Radiation levels have spiked, but we will probably never get a straight answer from Vladimir Putin.

Not to mention all of the old nuclear submarines lying around the world that are yet to be decommissioned and made safe.

The phrase “not to mention” is not a rhetorical device of pretended omission, but it is used merely to point out that certain things have not been explicitly mentioned by name and I am happy that you brought this to my attention Peter.

It is amazing what is going on in Russia right now. It looks as though the Russian people, or at least a large portion of them, have about had it with ol’ Vlad Putin. It’s about time.

I don’t think they will be able to do too much about him as he has his own private army to crush anyone who goes against him.
