A Day At The Beach

Lying in the sun
Specifically to get tan
Warm bright summer day

Desired leisure
Spread out on my beach blanket
Therapy for me

Applying lotion
Making my skin look darker
View of the ocean

Listen to the surf
Pretending I am alone
Calling out my name

Waves whisper to me
Serene beauty all around
Tranquility rules

Exploring nature
My idea of paradise
Cool quieting time

It takes a village
Nature needs to be nurtured
Work before pleasure

People must interact
Entire community
Coming together

Raking all the sand
Cleaning garbage from the beach
Lifeguards here to watch

There is nothing quite like spending a day at the beach, however you must be prepared for annoying bugs, scorching sun, cool breezes, getting sand stuck in your bathing suit and probably running into some annoying people.
