It is dry again today
Not a cloud in the sky
I have to refill the pool
I have to water the shrubs
Should I water my lawn
My car needs to be washed
The birds are thirsty
Constant heat and low humidity
The morning dew is not enough
Climate change is a real thing
Break open the heavens
Let it rain down on me
Written for Paula’s new poetry challenge Thursday Inspiration 4, rain.
Great! 🌧🎶

Rain is always good, much better than a drought.

The Clapton song is a lot better than my poem.

Two different things…I dont know how to judge poems unless they are in a song with a melody.
Some call Jim Morrison a poet…I think yours is better.
