Hitler was born on April 20, 1889, on April 15, 1912, the Titanic sank, the Waco siege took place on April 19, 1993, the Oklahoma City bombing was on April 19, 1995, the Columbine High School massacre occurred on April 20, 1999, 32 students and teachers died in the massacre at Virginia Tech on April 16, 2007, the Boston Marathon bombing happened on April 15, 2013 and a mass stabbing occurred on April 9, 2014, at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, Pennsylvania. My wife was born on April 20, too. I never think of it as “the killing season.”

Our family celebrates several happy occasions in April. The Franklin Regional stabbings were at a school where we have been several times for various events. It hurts to think that so many people think so little of human life.

My son was born on April 20, 2000, and I never let him forget who he shares a birthday with.

I always wanted someone famous to share my birthday with, but the only thing of significance seems to be the Rodney King beating.
