Kicking Names And Taking Ass

I could have that backwards.  The giant said, “Fe, fi, fo, fum, I smell the blood of an English man.”  Lorena Bobbitt said, “Sap, sep, sip, sop, sup, off it goes and I will plead temporary insanity.”  I have had that dream, where someone cut it off and I woke up screaming.  Most of my dreams concern having to go pee, either I can’t find a place to do it, or someone is watching and then I wake up.  I have also dreamt about not being able to find where I parked my car, although that has never happened to me in real life.  When I was in college, my dreams seemed to revolve around not knowing my schedule, as do I have physics fourth period, or am I supposed to be in calculus class.  It is crazy what we dream about.

Too many cooks ruin the soup and that goes double for superheroes in movies.  I watched Avengers Infinity Wars last night on Netflix and the best part of the movie was when Loci died in the beginning, as he is a real annoying character.  I usually enjoy Marvell movies and I won’t go into too much detail, as I don’t want to ruin this, in case anyone is planning on watching it, but this picture may have had the worst ending of any movie that I ever saw.  What a stinker, pyou!  The only thing that makes any sense is that a sequel will need to follow up and explain what happened.  I do love the Guardians Of The Galaxy, and although they are stupid, they do make me laugh.  I actually got the title for this post from what the one with antennas said.

Written for 1/5/19 Linda G. Hill’s ‘Life in progress’ Stream of Consciousness Saturday where the prompt is “sap/sep/sip/sop/sup”.

  1. Not being able to find my class was a common dream in my younger days. If I finally got to class, I found out I had not been there in weeks and was ridiculously behind. Or I was in a play and had no idea what my lines were. Thank God I don’t have to worry about those kinds of things anymore.

      1. I took acting and was in some plays at the community college level where I got to be a big fish and a little pond. It did wonders for my self-confidence which helped me later to speak in front of groups. Plus it was one of the most fun times of my life.

  2. That whole peeing thing is (apparently) your subconscious at work. You either really need to pee in real life and your mind is telling you to wake up and go already, but not in your bed. Erg. Some of us (me) have a phobia about soiling our beds and I have those sorts of dreams all the time…no place to go, the toilets are disgusting to the point I can’t use them etc etc. It’s disturbing (to me), but save once, when I was first in foster care, I’ve NEVER soiled my bed. Some deep psychological mess going on there obviously. Mis da weiner? BWAHAHHAHA.

    1. Yes my pee dreams are a signal for me to wake and take care of business. I always get back to sleep and then my dreams turn to another subject. I did have a bed wetting problem when I was real young and my parents put rubber sheets on my bed, but that was all resolved before I started Kindergarten.

  3. Melanie, all dreams are messages from the subconscious, which is trying to communicate with you. If you have persistent/recurring dreams, it might help to learn how to do dream analysis to “clear” the message.

    1. I never like it when the bad guy wins and all those superheroes that got killed off, of course they will come back, but it became a bit ridiculous. I will probably watch the next installment when it reaches Netflix as my thinking is that it can’t get worse.

      1. I can see that. I found it weird that a few made it. Wonder what the story is regarding who crumbled into nothing and who stayed behind like gate keepers. So many ways the story could go.
