Bad To The Bone

I usually order my steak boneless, I like rib eye because they are the juiciest.  I have a Webber grill which I bought in 2006 and that sucker is still grilling.  I have had to clean it several times and it is probably due for another cleaning, but the automatic spark lighter is still working and everytime I press that button after turning the burners on, I am expecting it to fail.  It runs circles around the Energizer Bunny, as I have been using it at least 3 times a month for the past 12 years.  I have a grill cover and after it cools down, I always put the cover on to protect it from the elements.

I have rolled some bones in my day.  I am a steam roller, which means that I need a flat surface and I have to use both of my hands to keep the weed inside of the paper in order to roll joints.  I am meticulous about removing all the sticks and seeds and this is an art.  If you grind the weed up into a power, it will not burn right, you will end up with a snake.  That is a joint that burns down one side and nobody wants that.  I always took pride in my ability to form the perfect bone.

I have been writing a lot of musical posts lately and now I am thinking of Bony-Moronie by Ritchie Valens, so I will leave you with this.

Written for 10/27/18 Linda G. Hill’s ‘Life in progress’ Stream of Consciousness Saturday where the prompt is “bone”.
