Do married men really live longer, or does the agonizing time pass by for married men so much slower that it just seem longer?

In our group only Sensei can answer as he is the only one married currently…

I actually think that I have a better prospective, as Sensei has never been divorced.

Um, in my part of the world, men die earlier (married or not). Lots of old widows and single ‘older’ women around here… I think we wear the men out or something…

I have heard about that, but it does sound like a nice way to go.

World over men die earlier, mainly because of testosterone! (that’s what I read somewhere)
In our part of the world, not many men remain single, so there is not much data available for comparison.

Married men live longer than single men because: 1. they get better food; 2. they get to share the obligations of family stuff; 3. they sleep in a warm bed (most nights); 4. they know someone has feelings for them.
Men (and women) who live alone suffer from loneliness as the biggest problem, that brings on the lack of care with food and surroundings, and they lose touch.
Of course, there are always the outliers. No, not me. I have a dog.

Cage this is not the first can of worms that I have ever opened. Your four points are very logical and I agree whole heartedly with you. No one wants to be lonely and I miss my dog.
