It’s About Time

The average heartbeat rate is 72 beats per minute, thus making a heartbeat a unit of time just shorter than a second.  Some things are not exact measurements of time, such as a task being accomplished in two shakes of a lamb’s tale, or something being done in the long run, or in the nick of time.  Things can happen all in good time, or once in a blue moon and a person can be behind the times.  A month of Sunday’s is a unit of time that approximately corresponds to one cycle of the moon’s phases, or about 30 days or 4 weeks.  In the sands of time relates to the passage of time that is measured by sand trickling downward from the upper part toward the bottom of an hourglass by means of gravity.  People have a tendency to call it a day, or call it a night and they also dwell on the past.  Some people may have a devil of a time, but it is always better late than never.

From time to time I feel like I have all the time in the world, although on occasion I am pressed for time, but I never seem to have time on my side, or feel that my time has come and I never think that I can make up for lost time.  Certain people are living on borrowed time and others may need to face time some day.  Many stories start off with the phrase once upon a time and life is all about being in the right place at the right time.  Time is said to work wonders and some people won’t give you the time of day.  I was looking to kill some time by entering this writing challenge and I wonder if my post will survive the test of time, but I guess that only time will tell, as it is just a matter of time.  For the time being, I guess that I should catch you some other time, so tah tah for now as it is time for me to hit the road.
