Turn the Page

Turn the PageEvery author wants to write a book that is a real page turner. If you can create a plot that contains a twist, this should enthrall your reader to want to see what happens next.  Utilizing figurative language with detailed descriptions should keep your readers turning the pages and if you are able to create cliffhanger endings, then your readers will continue turning pages.  A book is a set of printed sheets of paper that are bound together between covers and this most likely forms a work of fiction or non-fiction.  Most books come in hard covers or paperbacks and in order to get people to read them, they should be printed and published.

I really hate it when the pages in a book that I am reading get stuck together, I guess that the book may have gotten wet at one time or it is a new book where the pages have not been turned yet. Our modern world seems to be phasing out printed books in favor of electronic books for many reasons.  Twenty years ago in the late 1990’s many people were not familiar with the term blogger, but since the internet has become faster and wireless, blogging took off and it is here to stay.  New bloggers are popping up out of the woodwork every day.

Blogs can cover many subjects and many blogs have a lot of followers. Blogs feature comments, which makes them interactive, unlike the static printed pages in a book that you would have to turn.  A typical post is between 200-500 words and graphic images are included to hold the reader’s attention.  If you do not keep your blog active, you will probably lose some of your readers.

A person that has finished serving their prison sentence, will most likely want to start a new leaf in their life, or turn the page by creating a new person out of themselves, one that will now fit into society. I would never want to go to prison and I probably would try to do anything to avoid being sent there.  One desperate man that was down to his last dollar and he certainly did not want to go to prison was the Midnight Rider and I will leave you with this song by the Allman Brothers.

Allman Brothers Band – Midnight Rider

Well, I’ve got to run to keep from hiding
And I’m bound to keep on riding
And I’ve got one more silver dollar
But I’m not gonna let them catch me, no
Not gonna let ‘em catch the midnight rider
And I don’t own the clothes I’m wearing
And the road goes on forever
And I’ve got one more silver dollar
But I’m not gonna let them catch me, no
Not gonna let ‘em catch the midnight rider
And I’ve gone by the point of caring
Some old bed I’ll soon be sharing
And I’ve got one more silver dollar
But I’m not gonna let ‘em catch me, no
Not gonna let them catch the midnight rider
No I’m not gonna let ‘em catch me, no
Not gonna let them catch the midnight rider
No, I’m not gonna let ‘em catch me, no
I’m not gonna let them catch the midnight rider
But I’m not gonna let ’em catch me, no
Not gonna let them catch the midnight rider
