Is engaging in premarital sexual relations or fornication a bad thing? This topic is a struggle between God and the Church. God exists without the church, however the church cannot exist without God. Did Adam get married to Eve before they started engaging in sex? God required man to be fruitful and reproduce and natural urges and biology resulted in our species multiplying and expanding the Human race. You can argue that the Bible is the Word of God and that marriage is defined in the Bible. Some men in the Old Testament had more than one wife they were Polygamists, and some also had concubines, which were women that they had sex with but for certain reasons they could not marry them. Did God change His values about allowing men to have more than one woman and if so then why?
It was and still is called a sin in some religions for a man to leave their wife and get divorced, and this grievous sin of divorce may have been instituted in order to prevent men from having sexual relations with a number of other women. Sexual immorality is forbidden by the scriptures, and the seventh commandment says, “You shall not commit adultery”, and this was resolved by delivering capital punishment according to Leviticus 20:10. “If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife–with the wife of his neighbor–both the adulterer and the adulteress are to be put to death.” This seventh commandment does not address premarital sex, as it only seems to apply against cheating on your spouse. Some parts of Leviticus state that people are not allowed to eat pork and that men should stay away from women while they are menstruating, but luckily the Law of Moses has been replaced with the Law of Christ.
Jesus spoke about sexual immorality saying, “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” This makes just about every man guilty of this crime, as psychologists claim that men have sexual thoughts every seven seconds. Are some things appropriate to do when you are married and are these same things inappropriate if you are not married? Is having sex with animals wrong? Yes it is! Is willful participation in adultery, fornication, homosexual and lesbian behavior, incest, or any other unholy, unnatural, or impure sexual activity is a sin? That answer varies from person to person, but I believe that God created sex for people to enjoy themselves, and it was the church that created the concept of marriage. Sex is not evil, or an abomination, or detestable even though some spiritual people swear that it is sinful to have sex or engage in sex when you are not married.
Marriage exists to provide a home for children and people that are procreating are having sex, but some people just want to have sex without procreating and even married couples engage in sex not always intending to have babies. If a married couple readily engages in recreational sex with other couples known as swinging, then this is not infidelity as neither one is being unfaithful, as long as they are being honest with one another and sticking to the boundaries that they set. Discovering that your spouse had an affair and that they deceived you while they were having a romantic or sexual relationship with someone can be utterly devastating. Statistics say that 25% of married couples who have suffered this hardship and that any a couple who is able to put the affair behind them, can emerge as a stronger unit.

There are certain parts of the Bible that I don’t like, but for the most part I find the stories very interesting, even though many of them hard to believe. The Bible has many very interesting stories and one of them is about a character named Jacob who had 12 sons that were to become the leaders of a new nation. I am not going to talk about Jacob’s two wives or his two concubines who were all sisters, as this is about the tribe of Judah.
Judah was the fourth son of Jacob and Leah and he married Shua, a Canaanite woman and they had three sons named Er, Onan, and Shelah. Er married Tamar, but he did a wicked thing and this crime is actually never mentioned in the scriptures, but it is thought that during intercourse, he would pull out of his wife and spurt his load on her belly in order to avoid getting her pregnant. Er wanted Tamar to maintain her beauty and the Lord saw this as a vile act, so Er was killed for doing this. Judah told his second born son Onan to go to his dead brother’s wife and marry her, and raise up an heir for his brother. Onan knew that the heir would not be his, so he emitted his semen on the ground, that way he could have sex with Tamar and not give his dead brother an heir. God disapproved of Onan’s attitude, and He took Onan’s life also. Shelah the third son of Judah did not marry Tamar, but he did council her to take matters into her own hands. Judah became a widower and one day he saw his daughter in law with her face covered in a veil and he thought she was a harlot. He said to her, ‘Please, let me come in to you.’ Tamar responded, ‘What will you give me, that you may come in to me?’ Judah said, ‘I will send a young goat from the flock.’ When Tamar became pregnant Judah ordered that she should be burned to death, because she was a prostitute, however he released her when he found out that he was the father of her twins, Perez and Zerah. To sum this up, Er died for practicing birth control and Onan was killed for masturbating and then Judah pays his daughter-in-law to have sex with him and later he wants her to be killed for being a harlot.
Masturbation is not something that was invented by Howard Stern, as it is something that men probably did from the beginning of time. Should people abstain from masturbation because it is deemed to be immoral? If you feel that something is sexually wrong, then that act is immoral to you, but everyone else does not need to be lumped into the way that you view things. The act of masturbation especially when it ends in ejaculation is thought of as being an unclean act, similar to the way pigs, death bodies and menstrual periods are viewed.
